For those of you who aren't familiar with Milwaukee, there's this awesome, amazing, completely incredible thing called summerfest. It's downsides include being in the city and full of drunks, but hey, pretty much everywhere is. Well a bunch of pretty awesome bands played this year, so I got to go a few times. Well I went on Monday with one of my gradeschool friends and she dragged me to this concert by someone I had never heard of before. Well, we sat for a while, and I discovered that he was completely amazing. Ari Herstand is his name, and he is really talented. He sings, beatboxes, plays keyboard and trumpet. It turns out that he's also a real person. He's funny and nice and well, you'd have to listen to his music to understand.
Anyway, I love the music festival because my parents have actually been letting me go. Monday I saw Paramore and Ari Herstand, Saturday I saw Ari Herstand again and Cracker. (The name is odd, but they're actually pretty good. The lead guitarist is amazing). Tonight I'm going one final time to go see the Jonas Brothers. Yes, I do like pop. Actually, my best friend's little sister's friend, Kaye, invited JJ, my friend's sister, who invited my friend Molly, who invited me. So, it was kinda a complicated affair. Oh, and for those of you who like Ari Herstand or just want to find out what I'm talking about, he's coming to the Wisconsin State Fair August 2/3 on the Miller stage. Much love!
